Scholastic Matchmakers: The Easiest Fund Raiser Of All Time

Part 9

Epilogue

Eventually, I left the NIH, moved to Los Angeles, and became a graduate student at USC working towards a Ph.D. in computer science. Josh is doing well at his startup in Bethesda. Life goes on.

Scholastic Matchmakers really was a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. At the depths of our Valentine's Day 1995 disaster, I regretted ever having gotten into the whole mess in the first place. But, by only a year later, everything had changed dramatically, and we were on top of the world. These days, I look back on the whole thing and smile. I learned a lot, and in retrospect, it was worth it. Running that business was an adventure. I wonder sometimes: what will the next adventure be?
