InterMUD Question

Question For Everyone-

I have been considering putting InterMUD on our MUD, but have been a bit 
leary due to a few of extremely technical posts here about it here. My 
question is this: How complicated is this server?

I am not a newbie Imp, but I am no C expert either. The posts I have seen 
here about Intermud have looked extremely complex and it makes me curious 
as to how difficult the sserver is to maintain. Maybe it is 
self-sufficient once you have it compiled? I don't know and that is why I 
ask. I don't even want to begin to mess with it if it will require me to 
become a C.S. major to keep the server running :-)
