That is a bit of an idea... but how about this...  What about having items
with high and low stats... Then when an individual item is loaded, a
number(high, low) is used...  That way not every sword/staff/armor, etc
would be created alike, just like in real life... if you make a ware by
hand, it may protect/slash/bludgeon better than another of the same type.
