I wrote such a system myself. It still has some few bugs to be worked out
as I did it a while ago when I was still in the main C learning process.
The point being, however, that I did it. All it takes is adding a few
values to char_data, and then modifying sit, rest, stand, and sleep to
take this into account.

A little blood, sweat, and tears and you can do pretty much anything you
want (and you'll feel a lot better too).
