Erm, I'm assuming you mean ACMD(do_dc) and ACMD(do_purge).

In any case, you aren't even supposed to type "dc name", the proper syntax
is "dc <descript. #>", where the descript. # is from the output of the
users command--in effect, to make it impossible to disconnect an NPC.

Purging a mobile is quite the problem, and modifying damage() should have
nothing to do with it.  It doesn't "kill" the thing, it just extracts it.

In any event, a nice bit of debugger output would supplement my crystal
ball (which I stole from the place dak gets his cleaned) nicely.
