I addressed this in my mud, but am not prepared to provide a patch for what
I did. Here's a description though.... each object in my mud can have an
initial
timer value stored in the obj file. They also have a set of timer flags
which include:
load, disappear, and I forget what else :) There is also an array of
arguments.
So, the bread in my mud has both the load and disappear flags. load uses an
argument to indicate what object will be loaded (to the same character/room/
container as the "loading" item). After some amount of time, bread loads a
new,
deteriorated bread, and also disappears.
