Well, I had problems of the same sort but it was not the same thing. See
it has something to do with binary structers and being saved. To fix
this problem just upgrade the function to do with names so it won't
accept ASCII chars. It might already but in your case probably not. Then
with this invalid character( I mean like letter) like ß$¢ß«Ü it writes
the wrong size and reads the wrong size I think. Then it changes things
slightly like 41 but eventually crashes because data either is corrupt
or isn't their. I had this problem when I was changing levels, I was
permanently blinded.

Anyways, it could be the binary structure size, it could be c not being
able to deal with those chars either way, it's something to do with
invalid chars so change the function that checks to see if a name &
password is a valid name or password.  (password could contain the same
flaw so don't forget to change it)

Well if my rambelings make sense to anybody I think it should fix the
problem
