You need to make a (unconnected, typically) room to hold the pets.  The room
has to be numbered ONE GREATER than the vnum ob the pet shop itself.  See
the line int he pet_shop spec procs:
    pet_room = ch->in_room + 1;
So if your pet shop is in room 7582, the pets should be in room # 7583.
