Yes,
I am convinced it is RH 6.0. I have had numerous
problems since moving to this box which I have never
had in the past.
It is not only Circle, some Oracle OCI code I also
work on is acting funny as well.

Not that I can think of...
As for having local variables with the same name, the local will simply take
precedence over the global in that particular function.
