I think problem is in telnet you are using (or you are workning on console
directly ?). You can try either user another telnet terminal (may be CRT) or
letters "h", "j", "k" and "l" can be used as arrows.
"h" for Left
"j" for Down
"k" for Up
"l" for Right

Hi
I am having some trouble with the vi editor, the arrow keys have stopped
working correctly, instead of navigating the text, they now switch
automatically to insert mode, and print up a single capital letter e.g. B,
or A depending on which key you press, this never used to happen so if
anyone has any ideas or has had this happen to them before, please let me
know.
