Not a good idea to send it to me.  I tend to let them stew in my mailbox if
I can't answer right away.  Then if they stew too long, I generally delete
them since it's probably not important anymore.  Right now I have messages
from January to take care of, 22 total.  Not bad currently, I've been up to
50 before.

I think[1] it's in seconds since 1970 but modified according to the
time rules in utils.h.
