Removal of Extra descriptions in Oasis

I've just checked the ftp site, so Im' pretty sure about this:

There isn't an option to remove an extra description in OasisOLC -
neither in 2.0 nor in 2.0.1.

I was wondering whether this was a design choice, or a 'code-it-yourself'
feature ?
