I've taken a version of bpl17 configured with the old cygwinb20, ripped out the o-files , and re-configured with the latest version of Cygwin. Everything works fine except that when skills are used such as kick, or jab, or rush, no messages are sent to either the attacker or observer. The message file is still in place. Too, the skills actually work.
