¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤ Updated Player Level Increase by "ian" aka Douglas from www.therealms.net and www.aspheryia.com. All credits due to their respective owners/writers. This ZIP file contains three files, readme.txt, class.c and structs.h. Please note that this information contains ONLY the default 4 classes, no other classes. Levels go up to 95 levels (all experience points, saving throws and class names were adjusted to account for the additional levels. There are a total of 99 levels, 95 for the players, 99 for immortals. This alteration was designed for CircleMud 30bpl17. The editor guarantees no warranty as to the stability of this alteration. It has been tested out on my system and seems to work okay. ¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤ ¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤ INSTRUCTIONS ¤~-~¤~-~¤~-~¤ If you are installing a MUD for the very first time, you should be safe in copying over the class.c and structs.h file into your circle30bpl17/src directory, overwriting any existing files. You may need to CHMOD the files for read/write for owner and read only for anyone else. For people upgrading to CircleMUD 30BPL17, then you will need to open the file (as a text document/pico document) to view it's contents. Basically, you want to pay attention to the Saving Throws areas, the Experience points per level areas as well as the actual title of the levels. There is also one small thing you need to keep in mind...the EXP)MAX for imortals needs to be higher than the highest level you hve in the game. structs.h is included only for reference......immortal levels have to be adjusted in this file. Please consult the documentation included with the game to see where to change levels. PLEASE NOTE THAT AT ANY TIME IF YOU TRANSFER CLASS.C OR STRUCTS.H OVER TO YOUR SERVER, THAT IT NEEDS TO BE DONE IN ASCII FORMAT WHEN NOT IN THIS ZIP FILE. THE CODE WILL NOT COMPILE RIGHT IF THE DOCUMENT IS TRANSFERRED IN BINARY FORMAT!!!! I tend not to provide tech support, time is so very limited for me. However, I would love your thoughts and postings on either of my sites at www.aspheryia.com and www.therealms.net "Ian" 08-04-2000
