Too many open files

Too many open files error!
When 45 descriptors connected to mud, brings out that error 
on any file openning.
Under Sunos4, sparc10, Circle3.0pl8.
I set MAX_PLAYERS to 50.
How can I fix it ?

And How about add idle check for non-playing descriptor.
