i'm sure a lot of people are familiar with pine, elm, mailx and lynx... all
of these programs have one thing in common, it normall spawns off a process
to do the editting (unless you want to deal with the ed like builtin).  i'm
sure someone one of these days will come up with a client that will allow
this... anyways all elm, mailx and pine are, but mere clients to read mail.
