Did you miss the discussion that was on here before about socket_t errors?

You need to make sure conf.h and sysdep.h are included.  socket_t is defined
in sysdep.h.

Any "third-party" (ie: not Jeremy's) add-ons that were made for any version
before bpl9 are probably going to need those two files included. They're
created by the configure script.
