I think a lot of questions could be dealt with in the faq with a simple
"See the man page for <command>".  I know man pages are often hard to
understand, but I kinda remember diff being pretty good.  I used the diff
man pages to learn how to make patches.

I don't mean this as a flame.  I just think that since looking it up
yourself is probably faster than waiting for responses on this list, these
kind of questions waste everybody's time.

p.s. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy wastes of time (with the exception of
downloading long sigs) :)
