I don't understand exactly what you're saying, but if I'm reading correctly, you have a .tar.gz file you want to untar and gunzip with WinZip for Win95. Now, I don't used (actually, to be truthful, I abhor) Windows 95, so this is only based upon what I've heard on this list, but WinZip supports tar and gz.
