Minor patches to :
1- Make sure it compiles under Windows (whether this is a good or bad
thing is left as an exercise for the reader :-) )
2- Clean up zombie processes properly after fork/abort by catching
SIGCHLD and reaping using waitpid
3- Remove extraneous log statement.
