Forget advance, I find it's a real pain to get to work properly, it'll
advance them to odd levels on my MUD.  Just use set level {character}
{level}
Works a lot easier, doesn't clog your syslog up with major spam, and to
prevent lower imms from using it to advance alts, restrict setting the
level to impl's only if it's not already there.  My two cents,
