OK, thanks, that works.... sorta :) But now I have a bit different
problem. My char(Gowron) connected. I fired up another telnet window
and tried logging in to test it, and it dropped the new connection right
away. Then, it bombed out, at the line from the log below where it says,
'Select poll: No such file or directory'

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Jan 14 13:14:44 :: Gowron [127.0.0.1] has connected.
Jan 14 13:14:45 :: Gowron retrieving crash-saved items and entering game.
Jan 14 13:14:45 :: Gowron (level 55) has 0 objects (max 100).
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Starting check of descriptor list
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Equal to 0
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Closing socket
Select poll: No such file or directory
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Closing all sockets.
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Losing descriptor without char.
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Closing link to: Gowron.
Jan 14 13:14:50 :: Normal termination of game.
