I have experienced a bug too with the ASCII pfiles. I have the
older version for 3.0bpl11. Whenever I try to convert the old
pfile, it gives me the following error:
writing: pfiles/k/khaine
writing: pfiles/<GERMAN "Y">/<GERMAN "Y">[6stargate.orion.boden.se
error opening output file: No such file or directory
Not the the GERMAN "Y"'s are indeed the ascii-char, not the text I
wrote. Something is awfully wrong here. If it might help, we are
running this MUD on a UNIX machine (FreeBSD).
