Yes, it is very possible that zMUD is sending the password in one packet
and the CR/LF in another packet. This is not any violation of telnet or
TCP/IP that I'm aware of. The MUD server end is supposed to put together
packets regardless of where packet boundries occur.
To respond to other issues on this thread, zMUD does *not* use any
Microsoft MFC libraries or anything. zMUD is written in Delphi and I wrote
the network library I'm using myself. Yes, it *does* use Winsock, which
*might* have a bug in it, but given the number of clients that you are
having trouble with on this, I *highly* recommend that you take a look at
the MUD server code rather than trying to notify a dozen MUD clients about
it. It's a lot easier to fix your end then to wait for us to modify our
clients.
