I won't say, "No," outright, but it's highly doubtful.  Unless it can be
thoroughly demonstrated that,

    a. The vast majority of people want it, and

    b. The amount of time spent doing it for CircleMUD is minimal, and

    c. There's no suitable patches so that people who want it can get it
       without a big problem.

Admittedly, the number of people who want it has more weight than the
other options, but I just don't see people wanting something like this so
badly that a patch won't suffice.

And I assume that a patch does not exist for bpl16, however, it's probably
enough to use the old patch and manually handle the rejects.  It's worth a
try, anyway.  Make a backup of your old source code for easy recovery in
case you mess up something while hand-editing and things get too chaotic,
apply the patch to your Mud, hand-patch in the rejects, compile, and test.
Shrug.  There may not even be any rejects...
