Unified is nicest (even though unsupported by HPUX patch and Solaris patch), but when diff'ing, I (and the FAQ) recommend '-wuprN', which (iirc) ignores whitespaces, does it in unified format, adds in new files, does it recursively, and does it in RCS format.
