Problems cycling syslog

From: Bartek Shaarani (b.s@ROGERS.COM)

I'm having this really rudimentary problem in autorun/proc_syslog().

Whenever I reboot the MUD, I get an error like:
bash-2.05$ ./autorun[132]: declare: not found
./autorun[132]: declare: not found
./autorun[132]: [: +1+1: unexpected operator/operand

Instead of creating files like log/syslog.1, log/syslog.2 and so on, it's
appending the operation to the filename and I'm ending up with files like
syslog.+1+1+1+1+1, and so on.

Any help on this would be superb.
