CircleMUD Zone Editor This is a editor I wrote a few years ago. It was developed using C++ Builder, and was my first attempt to do anything using this tool (btw, it's cool). I really wanted to do a lot more (I even managed to create a visual editor for maps) but I lost all the sources during a virus attack. Due to this, CED is no longer under development. What I wanted to achieve was: a) User friendly interface, b) automation of certain tedious tasks (like renumbering a zone), c) robustness. I think I was pretty close to the first two, but the last one... sorry, it is plenty of bugs that will stay forever. Please bear with me. Known Issues: - The "new project" command is pretty screwed. The only decent way to create a new, empty project, is to create it, close, and then reopen it. Wath out VNum and file numbers. - In NT 4, a memory leak caused slowdowns to the entire system (Task Manager go nuts). I can't tell now, I switched to win2k. - Random crashing. Please, keep saving. - There is a lot of spanish messages, and even more screwed up english messages. I'm still learning this bloody language :-) - My current email is leonardo.herrera@mercantil.com (leherrer@entelchile.net don't work anymore) Tip: Open all the "list" windows. Don't play in excess with the "auto align" option. Keep saving every few minutes. Regards, -- Leonardo Herrera mailto:leonardo.herrera@mercantil.com
