This directory contains the archives of the CircleMUD mailing list.
As of March 3, 1997, there are over 17,000 messages archived since
the list began in January of 1994.

The archive is broken a number of files -- one file for each month.
Within each file, messages are in the UNIX mailbox format.  Each file
is gzipped (use gunzip from GNU to uncompress it).  Note, the files
are *not* tarred.

The same material is available on the Web, with a search engine,
at http://www.circlemud.org/circle/list/.

This directory also contains a file called "FAQ" -- Frequently
Asked Questions about the mailing list itself.
