[Circle] [code][extracting input]

to wait on input from a char for some action, say, like choose from a
menu, is this what i need do do??...

set a state of something (say  #define CON_SoEd   17  ) in structs.h
set the player state to that con...ch->desc->connected or STATE(d) =
CON_SoEd.

then parse arg for the input??  this is my first stab at it, but it
appears that this is how the rest of the stuff is handled.  am i doin it
right?
