I need some help editing mass quantities of text files and I'm sure that
VI can do it. What I need to do is add a line into every mob entry, and
I have over 100 mob files and I really dont want to do it by hand. Here
is an example of what I am looking to do:
I need to add a line between the two lines formatted like this:
26 18 -1 5d10+550 4d6+3
2 155000
the first line is something like <level> <THAC0> <AC> <Hits>
<BareHandDam> anyways I need to add a line between those two like this:
26 18 -1 5d10+550 4d6+3
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 <- This exact line added to
every mob
2 155000
I don't know much about VI, but I do know it is very powerful and can
most likely do this. Can any of you VI experts teach me a command that
will do this?
Also, this isn't that big of a deal, but I need to do this to about 100
mob files and it would be nice to not have to go through each file...
maybe a script?
Thanks for your help!
