        Well, sure.  What ever you're talking about is easy to do.  But,
what _are_ you talking about.  A pulse (which probably happens far too
quickly to worry about), or a call to point_update (which is determined
directly by what pulse is)?

        What is your end goal? Updating zones?  Making mobs perform their
'random' things (moving, eating trash, stealing? etc).

In any case, the function you want to look at is heartbeat(), in comm.c
