I solved that problem by adding a second loadroom variable
(crash_loadroom) to take over the crash-saved stuff (such as copyovers),
the original variable is reserved for the default loadroom.  When a
player enters the game, first crash_loadroom is checked, and then
loadroom is checked, then if both of those are nowhere, they are loaded
according to the old rules.
