Re: ASCII Pfiles, benefits?

The main feature of ascii pfiles is the ability to add variables- yes
add them without a pwipe. The binary format is a fixed memory size and
if a new variable is added the old pfiles become nonfunctional because
of the mismatch in size for the player structure. There are several
snippets on patching in ascii pfiles, or there are full server
releases by people like Del with ascii pfiles patched in. Look in the
ftp site for more info.
