shrug lost the orginal post, it was about getting mob and obj names from world files, I don't know awk but here is sumthing easy to use. grep -A 1 '#' foo.mob its shows only the alias list, but that should do anyway( if you want you can -A 2 and get the names(but that's a little more spammy) have fun
