Yes, you have a valid point, but consider those who don't have access to
mud clients.  I know of schools that won't allow them, I'm not going to
name a bunch off either.  Not every school has SLIP/PPP connections
available, also some schools don't even use unix which most mud clients
were written on, if they are written for let's say VMS/VAX (whatever), you
have to have multinet in which 99% of those vax admins don't install it or
make it available for students.
