I posted a bug report to MS.. I expect the chances of it being fixed
this century are about the same as my being elected president..
but what the heck, It fit my mood today :-) (Quoted RFC 0854)

ObCircle:

How would you balance artillery in a mud? I mean indirect fire
weapons fired from another room, directed by a forward
observer located in the room where the target is. (The person
firing the shot can also be located in an airplane/helicopter.)

I have come up with the following (obvious) balancing pieces,
but seek others :-)

1) Have a chance to have the observer be hit based on the
skills of the launcher and observer.

2) Have the mob(s) be suspicious of any players using comm
equipment in the same room as them.

3) Have mobs hiding behind suitable terrain and other bunker
type emplacements.

4) Have the mobs be able to manufacture droves of pissed
off cannon fodder mobs to run around killing anyone who
moves in retaliation.

(You could do this in a fantasy setting with some kind of
spell to look through the eyes of your target and a suitable
projectile weapon I'd think. (Seige engine maybe?))

Thoughts?
