Our mud has about 255 zones, 13,000 rooms, 13,000 mobiles, 6,500 objects,
and takes about 27mb on boot.
That's with god-awful circle 2.2 based code that's passed through too many
hands. Our new 3bpl11 based code is much more efficient, but doesn't have
enough stuff in it to really see.
