Time to stick my two-penneth in and make some enemies ;o)

I don't care what it's called, so long as it serves a purpose.

I'll go for that, I know folks feel happier with stock zones and
stock code, but only because they know it like the back of their
hands. They can impress others real quickly, and show newcomers
around. In my MUD, there are no stock zones, not one. The entire
world will have to be learned by players, as they travel and explore.

I agree again, stock code is fine as a base, but that is all. In my
opinion, it needs to be expanded and developed, something which I
think is the reason stock circle is so basic. I seem recall a quote
along the lines of "This code is a blank slate for you to build your
MUD on" or something like that. Again in my MUD, folks will have to
get to grips with the new combat system (not complex, just different)
and a whole host of other stuff.

You mean we must not revert to stock circle and wipe the
playerfile...Okay, I'll go with that :)

I agree with a central list of 'approved' MUD's, but I disagree with
bad-mouthing MUD's. Like flames, insults, and chain emails, if they
are bad muds, ignore them. Not advertising them is as good as or
better than bad mouthing them.

Stick me on the list :)
