I did something similar, but I made a SECT_CLIFF and a climbing skill.
This allows for climbing to occur in all 6 directions, not just up and
down. The way that I coded it allows for SECT_CLIFF to be used for large
things like trees, scaffolding, building exteriors, etc, and the climb
skill (or fly spell) is needed to traverse areas like this.
