Just a slight addition to this thread...
I assume that this "howto" was posted for use in OasisOLC? If so,
there's about three lines you'll need to change in olc.h to make the new
wear_positions usable online...
look for #define num_positions and others like that...they'll say 17 or
something similar. Use a trial and error method and you'll find out how
to change the #defines by going through the oedit menus.
