Curious question for act.comm.c

in do_write, papername and penname is set to equal buf1 and buf2
before the arguments are parsed. Is there any reason for this?
or is it a lost effort somewhere?

ACMD(do_write)
{
  struct obj_data *paper, *pen = NULL;
  char *papername, *penname;

  papername = buf1;
  penname = buf2;

  two_arguments(argument, papername, penname);

  if (!ch->desc)
