Unix isn't neccessary better than Win95.  Its arcane, its GUI sucks; when 
its even available, securing it can be a bitch, and as far as socket 
libraries go, all major compilers available for the Win95 platform come 
with full featured socket libraries now (Borlands in particular is almost 
exactly the same as the one in my version of xlC for Unix)
The argument of which OS is better doesn't get you anywhere though, since 
they both have obvious advantages and disadvantages over one another.  
Its almost as effective as debating which language is better: Ada or 
C++?  Try asking that to 50 computer engineers and you'll get 50 
different responses... all kinds of advantages and disadvanges. :)
