Personally I like the imaginary part of muds, no graphics. That's what 
makes it so interesting and a lot of fun.  I hope muds never get graphical.

Plus, imagine a sound every time you open a door, enter a room etc. 
Pretty annoying when u've heard it 2000 times. :)
